The Falmouth Anchor Lifestyle Editor

September 2019 to present

When I first became editor, I developed the official lifestyle section guidelines, which were then adopted by the rest of the section editors. My main responsibilities now include compiling monthly content calls and editing, formatting and publishing articles.

The Falmouth Anchor Chief Lead Writer

January 2019 to September 2019

This role was specifically created in recognition of my commitment to the paper. Here, I managed a small team of lead writers and liaised with the section editors to produce frequent and varied content. During this time, one of my articles – Confessions of the vegan students – was nominated for ‘Best Entertainment Piece’ at the Student Publication Association National Conference.

Kerrang! Editorial Work Experience

December 2015 and August 2016

Here, I transcribed a range of interviews for use in articles, including an interview with Jordan Fish, as featured in K! issue 1601. I also wrote a series of mock reviews and pitches in the house style, which received encouraging feedback from associate editor, Nick Ruskell.
